The single was released on September 28, 2018, with no prior announcement. It was released via "Trash Star", widely considered to be the predecessor to Bladee's Trash Island (Label), which the artist uses for self-released material.

Merchandise
On April 8, 2019, the Exile T-Shirt was released. A black re-issue of the shirt was released on September 3, 2021.
